KZN Inland U17 cricket team for National Week
I have had the pleasure this year of watching a number of the quality cricketers who have been selected for the KZN Inland U17 team to take part in the National Week in Durban from 12 to 16 December.
Feature image: Hilton College and KZN Inland U17 fast bowler Michael Booth in full flight during the Coca-Cola T20 Finals at Tuks in Pretoria earlier this year.
Michaelhouse batsman Jared Meiring, the left-hander Jacques van der Walt of Maritzburg College – an outstanding slip fielder too – and the all-round batting, bowling and fielding skills of Dean Dyer (Maritzburg College.
Then there is the Hilton College triumvirate.
Colby Dyer, the grade 10 Hilton leg-spinner and handy batsman has the ability to set batsmen up before undoing them with his googly.
Added to Michael Booth’s out-and-out pace bowling and powerful batting, and the artful left-arm orthodox spin of Michael Frost.
Best wishes to the side.
